NDA Set for Comfortable Majority, Exit Poll Suggests
The Bihar election Axis My India exit poll has predicted a comfortable victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2025 Bihar Assembly polls. According to the survey released on Wednesday, the NDA is projected to win between 121 and 141 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan (MGB) led by Tejashwi Yadav may secure 98 to 118 seats.
Interestingly, despite the NDA’s projected edge, Tejashwi Yadav has emerged as the most popular choice for the chief minister’s post. The poll revealed that 34% of respondents favored Tejashwi, compared to 22% for Nitish Kumar and 14% for any BJP candidate.

As per the Axis My India exit poll, the NDA is expected to secure 43% of the total vote share, while the Mahagathbandhan is projected to get 41%. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party, contesting its first election, is expected to capture around 4% of the votes.

The Bihar election Axis My India exit poll aligns broadly with other agencies’ findings, though projections vary. The Matrize Exit Poll has forecast 147–167 seats for the NDA and 70–90 for the Mahagathbandhan. Similarly, Dainik Bhaskar predicted 145–160 seats for the NDA and 73–91 for the MGB.
Meanwhile, People’s Insight and People’s Pulse both foresee a decisive NDA lead, estimating between 133–159 seats for the alliance. Across all major polls, the NDA appears poised for another term, while Tejashwi Yadav continues to be the voters’ favorite CM face.
