Mamata Banerjee said the EC should have planned the revision better instead of pushing officers to their limits. Tensions escalated further after the EC allowed only five Trinamool MPs to attend the scheduled meeting in Delhi, although the party requested permission for ten MPs. Abhishek Banerjee accused the Election Commission of avoiding transparency and challenged it to hold the meeting publicly.
Trinamool leaders said they want to ask five direct questions about the rushed timeline and the conditions faced by BLOs, central issues fueling the SIR revision Bengal controversy.
