The Balochistan explosions 24 hours have once again highlighted the growing security challenges in Pakistan’s largest province. Over the past day, at least seven blasts were reported across different locations, creating widespread fear among residents. Although there were no fatalities, two security guards suffered injuries during one of the attacks. The incidents show a worrying surge in militant activity, especially around Quetta and Dera Murad Jamali.

A Wave of Blasts Across Balochistan

According to officials, the first attacks occurred in Quetta, where militants targeted a police checkpoint with hand grenades. Soon after, an IED detonated near a vehicle belonging to the Anti-Terrorism Department. Three more blasts followed, creating panic throughout the city.

Additionally, one explosion damaged a key supply line near Lohr Karez, which connects Quetta with other regions. Because of this, authorities had to inspect the area for further threats. Thankfully, no lives were lost.
