BrahMos-II: India’s Leap to Hypersonic Speeds

India is developing the BrahMos-II, a next-generation hypersonic missile capable of reaching speeds up to Mach 8. This is a major leap from the current operational BrahMos, which cruises at Mach 2.8. By achieving Mach 8, the missile will travel at approximately 10,000 km/h, nearly three times faster than its predecessor, significantly reducing flight time to targets.
