A Fresh, Modern Design for Samsung’s Next Pro Earbuds
Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro in early 2026. The earbuds are expected to arrive alongside the Galaxy S26 series. Early details found in the One UI 8.5 beta point to a redesigned look and a more polished finish.
Samsung appears to be moving away from the sharper design of the previous model. Instead, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro may feature a flatter stem and a cleaner exterior. The familiar light bar from the older Pro variant does not seem to appear in the new animations. This suggests a more minimal and modern appearance.
The ear tips also seem to be updated. They may offer a more comfortable and secure fit for long listening sessions. These small refinements could make the buds easier to wear throughout the day.
Charging Case Overhaul and Improved Layout
One of the biggest changes is the charging case. Samsung may shift to a flat layout where the earbuds rest horizontally. This is different from the previous vertical placement. Many premium earbuds already use this layout, so Samsung seems to be following a more standard approach.
There are reports that the standard Galaxy Buds 4 and the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro share some design cues. Their internal codenames, “Handel” and “Bach,” hint at this connection.

New ‘Head Gestures’ Feature for Hands-Free Control
A highlight feature expected for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro is Head Gestures. This tool may let users nod or shake their head to respond to calls or notifications. It could also dismiss alarms, stop timers, or handle voice assistant prompts.
This hands-free system may help users who cannot use touch or voice controls. It could be useful while exercising, cooking, or commuting.
Advanced Audio and Smart Features Returning
Samsung may also bring back several features from the previous Pro model. These include 360-degree audio recording, Adaptive Noise Control, and Find My Phone support. Together, these additions help position the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro as a strong upgrade in Samsung’s audio lineup.
