During the attack, the Russian forces were hell, bent on the energy facilities. The Ukrainian government gave the report that there was a lot of damage done to the power stations as well as the transmission lines. Several areas were left without power as the repair crews were working in difficult conditions.

The air force of Ukraine announced that it shot down most of the incoming missiles with its air defense systems. On the ground, however, there were some fallen missiles and interruptions in which the enemy evasions caused destruction and injuries. Local authorities mentioned that the enemy keeps hitting civilian infrastructures to lower the people’s spirit during the cold season.

Energy specialists are cautioning that frequent bombings could overburden the electrical grid during the winter season. The government advised the people to use electricity sparingly and be ready for more disruptions.

Worldwide leaders got shocked and responded with heavy concern. Humanitarian organizations, however, pleaded that it would be very hard for the most vulnerable people during the cold season.

What Comes Next After the Latest Strikes?

Defense experts believe that Russia will still be attacking with long, range weapons in the next few weeks. The Ukrainian side is ready for any challenge from the enemy and their air defense units are at the highest level of readiness. Authorities advised people to take precautions and monitor news from official sources only.

The Russian massive attack Ukraine story is a reminder of the tragic and unwarranted blows to innocent people. As the cold season becomes harsh, the people are left with uncertainty, lack of electricity, and constant threat from the sky.
